I don't believe I was able to submit the housing application before March 1st, but after submitting quite early in the day (on March 1st) I saw that--as of February 20th--over 1000 students were already on the waitlist. Also if you change status from single to having dependents after entering housing. I don’t think it would hurt to contact housing, but I’m not sure how forthcoming they will be with information (your spot on the waitlist, how many ppl have gotten off of the waitlist, etc). I applied in January for a renew in Camino and was on the waitlist until I got an offer on June 27th. Do not skip this step or you will forfeit your housing guarantee. Idk if it’s truly based on time or availability due to guaranteed housing from freshmen and transfers. (Family meaning housing with dependents, not location, most grad housing also has families in the complex) Applied on April 4th for family housing. Students must maintain good academic standing to remain eligible for the guarantee. (Please read about the Terms & Conditions for Graduate Housing Offers). The UCI Housing waitlist application for Arroyo Vista and the Residence Halls opens in April 2026, exact date TBD on the Housing Sort of?
