Their record is spotty. The Carenado PC-12 flies pretty well and has better visuals than the Simworks product imo. I activated the TDS GTN 750/650 and found that the VOR2 gauge in the airplane does not switch GPS/VLOC when the GTN650 switches. Unfortunately the sounds are typical low effort Carenado fashion. Thanks Don Jun 27, 2025 · The full Carenado offerings are always pretty good to excellent But as I've said elsewhere, the free ones just feel like the contractual obligation they are and are rushed with little attention to detail. It just stays in whatever mode it happens to be in. Mar 20, 2025 · Problem with Carenado aircraft is rarely with how they look but after 2 previous version of the C182 from them I need a lot more than a pretty face and default systems to even consider it. All the Carenado aircraft I bought from the 2020 market place have been transferred into 2024 after undergoing Asobo's conversion process yet they all now have the previous, useless Garmin AS530 units that don't work. The way the altitude select on autopilot works drives me up the wall 😜. Eighteen months ago they did fix a lot of this small stuff in their 2020 offerings on a plane by plane basis. Unfortunately, it does not have the latest version of the WT GNS530 in the panel, so you Dec 19, 2024 · The biggest problem to me in the Carenado in 2024, is the autothrottle, my god it drives me nuts, LOL, winds up and down, up and down during climb, it seems ok in cruise, but again in descent it was being annoying, I finally turned it off, tried to control it manually, still gave me some fits, but hey, it did the approach and landing was fine. Nevertheless Carenado seem to be accumulating what is now a small mountain of generally insignificant but annoying bugs. Still one of the best products from them so far. Not good. Jun 30, 2025 · It is a very nice airplane, but like other Carenado releases, it has some avionics bugs. For me it’s the shortcomings of FS2020 itself with regression with each monthly patch and a joke of an ATC system that’s the real problem.
